British Waterways Traders Meeting
Had the pleasure of meeting Suzie Mercer the new BW Trade Manager for our area at the meeting in Kidlington last Thursday. I was becoming increasingly concerned that Tia's days were numbered because of new rules and regulations being introduced. However, if BW are true to it's word, (!!!!!) it could be that we are in fact better off. Although there is still alot of consultation to go through - I am now feeling more optomistic. So those of you hoping that we might disappear withought trace - think again!! And many thanks to the rest of you for your support. Graham

We have started to sell products from The New Blue Loo Company which have been developed and distributed by a narrow boat owner who understands the issues of sanitary situations. We sell a toilet fluid for cassettes, sachets which are ideal for pump-out tanks and a toilet bowl cleaner which works in harmony with the other products. More? Click Here
Are you sick and tired of seeing plastic bags containing dog depositis hanging from trees and hedges along the towpath? We now sell bio-degradable dog poop scoop bags. If you must leave your litter adorning the vegitation these bags will degrade along with their contents and leave the environment free from the unsightly decorations which take many many years to degrade.
Ecover have recently brought out an alternative to their Lavender and Aloe Vera Hand Soap and Shower Gel. The new version is a citrus combination of Citrus And Orange Blossom and is most invigorating.

Skylark Fields Farm Shop - On the A425 between Southam and Daventry is within easy reach (by car) of all of the marinas local to Napton and Braunston. Skylark Fields Farm Shop comes highly recommended (by us)and sells home produced free range eggs and meat (including gorgeous sausages) from their own pigs. They also stock many other lines from local honey, vegetables, venison, milk and dairy, pies, deserts - the list goes on. Their staff are always helpful and efficient and made easy work of our Christmas essentials (the turkey was amazing)! Well worth visiting to stock up before you go off on your cruise especially if you are hiring from one of the local bases.
We are now stocking Suma "EcoLeaf" products. A new range of Washing-up Liquid, Laundry Liquid and Multi-Surface spray.
Ecover have also brought out a new Bathroom Cleaner and Window and Glass Cleaner.
We are now stocking a spray wax polish for interior wood. It is made by BioD in this country and is excellent for boat interiors.
Rarely does such an impressive well designed piece of kit come to the market. To combat the increasing threat of diesel theft I would like to suggest you take a look at this. We've just bought one and we think its brilliant. Fuelock
British Waterways now requests that boaters use products that do not contain phosphates.

Don't forget to save your empty bottles as refills will save you some serious money as well as being kinder to the environment.
